Required Training

Volunteers should complete two FEMA Independent Study courses that are required by the public safety community. The required courses, along with many others related to emergency management, can be taken online through the FEMA Independent Study website at: Independent Study Program (ISP)

The two courses are:

• IS-700.a: National Incident Management System (NIMS), An Introduction
• ICS-100.b: Introduction to Incident Command System

In addition, ACS leaders need to have completed:

• ICS-200.b: ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents

Scheduled Meetings

NCRC meetings are usually held at 7PM on the second Monday of each month at the Portsmouth Fire Department on East Main Rd.

• August 6, 2011 -- No-notice alerting/mobilization drill. Check-in on 146.700 Cranston repeater, switch to 146.520 simplex and check-in with Newport station.
